Passports & Visas
All travelers are required to have a valid passport. It is essential to possess a full 10-year passport that remains valid for at least 6 months beyond the planned return date of your tour.
For entry into India, Nepal, and Bhutan, visas must be obtained in advance of travel. On the other hand, visas for travel to Sri Lanka and the Maldives are acquired upon arrival in those countries. The Government of India has made an ‘E-Visa’ facility available to citizens of 150 countries. To refer to the list of eligible countries and to apply for the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) please click here to visit the official website.
Please note, ETA will remain valid for 60 days post the payment of the e-visa fee. Therefore, please plan accordingly, so that your visa is valid upon your arrival into India. The application process takes anywhere from 48 to 72 hours post the payment of the e-visa fee and is required to be applied for a minimum of four days prior to your arrival.
Ensure to carry a printed copy of the ETA received, as that will be stamped on arrival by Indian Immigration at the airport of one of the following cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Gaya, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Trichy, Trivandrum and Varanasi

Insurance
We strongly recommend acquiring comprehensive insurance prior to traveling, which covers everything from trip cancellations and medical expenses to their baggage. Please ensure that you have ready access to your insurance information during your trip.
Health
There are no compulsory vaccinations when traveling to India, only recommendations. We suggest you consult your private physician 4 to 6 weeks prior to traveling to the Indian Subcontinent. Nepal and Bhutan itineraries may include travel to spaces with high altitudes, please check with your doctor before confirming your program.
Packing
When traveling in the winter, please pack scarves, sweaters, and jackets it can get cool in the evening. During the day cotton trousers/long shorts, jeans, T-shirts, and shirts are fine. In India, the sun is strong so please remember to pack a strong sunblock, shades, and a hat/cap. You will also need comfortable shoes for the tours and extra pairs of socks (airline type will do) as you may need to remove your shoes at some of the monuments/temples. Please feel free to consult us for specific clothing recommendations, as these would change based on your time of travel.
Electronics
India operates on 220v. We would recommend traveling with an international power adaptor. These are available on request at most hotels, if not already in your room.
